This page is a draft pending review.
These terms apply to towing, roadside assistance, recovery and vehicle transport services provided by Blackline Towing (we, us, our), a sole trader based in Marsden Park, New South Wales. They cover work across Greater Sydney and booked long-distance and interstate transport. By booking or accepting a service from us, you agree to them. Questions? Call 0452 085 846 or email inquiries@blacklinetowing.com.au.
Quotes and bookings
Quotes are given by phone or email based on the information you provide: location, destination, vehicle type and condition, and access. A quote is for the job as described. If the job on site is materially different from what was described, for example the vehicle does not roll when we were told it would, or the location is not accessible, we will tell you before doing any extra work and agree any change to the price with you.
Payment
We accept cash, PayID or bank transfer. Payment is due on completion of the job unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, for example on an approved trade account.
Cancellations and waiting time
If you cancel after our truck has set off, or we arrive and cannot proceed for reasons within your control, a call-out or waiting fee may apply. We will tell you about any such fee before it is charged.
Your responsibilities
You agree to give accurate information about the vehicle's location, condition, weight and destination; to have the authority to arrange the tow; to remove valuables and personal items from the vehicle before loading; and to tell us about anything that affects safe loading, such as leaking fuel, an electric vehicle with a damaged battery, or a vehicle with locked steering. For a caravan, trailer, machine or commercial vehicle, tell us the weight when you call so we can confirm our truck can carry it before we attend.
Vehicle condition
Before loading, we note the visible condition of the vehicle and may take photographs. We recommend you do the same. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for damage caused by the fault that led to the tow, or for the contents of the vehicle.
Storage
We do not offer long-term vehicle storage. If a vehicle cannot be delivered to the nominated destination, for example because a workshop is closed and has no safe drop-off, we will contact you to agree an alternative. Any holding arrangement and its cost will be agreed with you first.
Liability and insurance
We take reasonable care of your vehicle while it is in our custody. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, which provides guarantees that cannot be excluded.
Service availability
We operate one tilt tray tow truck, based in Marsden Park, rated at 10,400 kg gross vehicle mass. That figure covers the truck and its load together, so the weight we can carry is less than it and depends on the vehicle. We confirm on the call whether a load is within it and we do not accept work above it. The truck also cannot enter an underground or basement car park. We do our best to give an accurate ETA and will tell you if we cannot attend within a reasonable time. Quoted ETAs are estimates and depend on distance from our base, traffic, weather and the job in progress.
Governing law
