Operating weight, overall length and width, and whether the attachments are still fitted, because a bucket, a set of forks or a hammer adds weight and length you have to count. Tracked machines, height under a low awning and the gradient of a driveway all change the load, so mention them too. We would rather ask three questions up front than turn up to a machine our truck cannot legally carry.

We confirm it fits, and the access
We check the weight and dimensions against what our tilt tray carries, then talk through gate width, driveway gradient, overhead wires and how soft the ground is. Price is confirmed on the call. If it will not fit or we cannot get in, we say so then.

Load, secure and deliver
The tray tilts to the ground, the machine is driven or winched on, and it is chained down before we move. We unload the same careful way and walk around it with you or the site contact.

What is the heaviest machine you can carry?
It depends on the machine, and the honest answer starts with a question rather than a headline number. Our truck is a 10.4 tonne GVM tilt tray, and GVM is the truck and the load counted together, so the machine has to sit inside what is left over. What matters then is the real weight on the day: a machine listed at three tonnes can climb well past that with a bucket, forks, a hammer, full fuel and a water tank. Tell us the weight when you call and we will confirm it.
Can you get into a residential building site?
Often, yes, and it comes down to the same handful of things every time: how wide the gate or kerb crossing is, how steep the driveway is, whether there are low branches or overhead wires, and whether the ground will take the truck after rain. Describe the site or send a photo before the day, and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done from the street instead.
Do you take on regular work for hire companies and builders?
Yes. Trade and business accounts are available for hire companies, builders, landscapers and workshops that move machines often.
