The Northern Beaches is a long, thin strip with Pittwater Road as its spine and only a few ways in: the Spit Bridge, Wakehurst Parkway, Warringah Road and Mona Vale Road. When one of those is jammed, the whole peninsula slows down. That matters for towing on the Northern Beaches, because an honest ETA from Manly to Avalon at 5pm on a Friday is very different from the same run at 10am on a Tuesday.
