A tilt tray is a tow truck with a flat deck that tilts and slides back to the ground, so a vehicle can be winched or driven on and then carried level with all four wheels off the road. Why does it matter? Towing an all-wheel-drive car with two wheels on the ground can damage the drivetrain. Electric vehicles should not be towed on their wheels at all. We set the tray
The tray tilts and slides to the ground. For low cars we check the approach angle and take it slowly.

The car is winched or driven on, then strapped through the wheels with soft straps. Nothing hooks the body or the chassis.

What is the difference between a tilt tray and a flatbed?
Same thing. Tilt tray is the Australian term for a flatbed tow truck whose deck tilts and slides to the ground for loading. Whichever word you searched for, this is the truck we run.
Can you tow an electric vehicle?
Yes. EVs should be carried with all four wheels off the road, which is exactly what a tilt tray does. Tell us the make and model on the call so we know where the tie-down points are.
Will my low car scrape when it is loaded?
We check the approach angle before the car touches the tray and take it slowly. If your car is very low, tell us the rough ground clearance when you call so we come prepared. If we are not confident we can load it without contact, we tell you before we start.
