Is it cheaper to tow now or in the morning?
Sometimes, yes. Distance and time of day both affect the price, and a car parked safely in a driveway can usually wait. If the car is somewhere it cannot stay, such as a clearway, a bus lane or a motorway shoulder, tow it now. Tell us the situation and we will give you a straight answer, even if that answer is to wait until morning. Our rates page explains what affects the price.
How pricing worksMy car will not start after a breakdown. Can you still tow it?
Yes. A car that will not start is the most common reason anyone calls a tow truck. If it rolls and steers, it is winched straight onto the tray. If it does not roll, tell us on the call so we come prepared, and we will confirm we can load it where it sits.
Can you drop the car at a workshop that is closed?
Usually. We can leave the car outside the workshop and drop the keys in the after-hours slot if the workshop has one. Tell us the workshop name and address, and let them know to expect the car in the morning.
