A caravan or trailer becomes a towing job the moment it cannot safely be towed: a collapsed wheel bearing on Richmond Road, a shredded tyre on the M7 with the family in the car, a snapped coupling, or a tow vehicle that has died and left the van sitting behind it. Size decides this one before weight does. A box trailer, a camper trailer or a single-axle pop-top is usually straightforward. A long dual-axle family van is a different conversation, because length and width matter as much as weight on a tilt tray deck. Tell us the make, the body length, the tare and the ATM off the compliance plate when you call and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.
The planned side is just as common. Vans come out of storage yards and side gates around Riverstone, Windsor and Rouse Hill and head to a repairer, a holiday park or a new owner. An unregistered or unroadworthy trailer cannot legally be towed on the road, so carrying it on the deck is the way to move it. Being based in Marsden Park puts the Hawkesbury and the run out to Windsor and Richmond close to home.

Tell us what it is and where it is
Make and model, body length, tare and ATM off the compliance plate, single or dual axle, and whether the wheels still turn. On the roadside, your nearest cross street or the exit you have just passed.

We confirm it fits, and the price
We check the length and weight against what the deck and the truck allow, and confirm the price on the call. If the van is too long or too heavy for one tilt tray, we tell you that straight away rather than turn up and find out.

Loaded, secured and delivered
The tray tilts to the ground and the van or trailer is winched on and strapped down for the trip. We deliver to the repairer, the storage yard, the park or the address you gave us and check it over with you.

How big a caravan can you actually take?
On a tilt tray the length and width of a van usually bite well before its weight does, though both have a ceiling: our truck is rated at 10.4 tonnes GVM, which counts the truck as well as the van on the deck. That is why we ask for the make, the body length, the tare and the ATM instead of promising that every van fits. Give us those four things on the call and you will have a straight yes or no on the spot.
My tow car has died and the caravan is still hitched behind it. What happens?
Tell us where you are and what is around you, because the answer changes on a motorway shoulder compared with a quiet street. We run one truck and carry one load at a time, so we work out on the call which one moves first and how the second one is handled, and we tell you honestly how long each leg will take.
Can you move a trailer that is not registered or not roadworthy?
Yes, and that is exactly what carrying it is for. An unregistered trailer, or one with a seized bearing, a broken spring or a dead coupling, cannot legally be towed on the road, so it goes on the deck instead. Tell us if the wheels will not turn so we come ready to winch it on.
