Vehicle recovery across Greater Sydney
Recovery here means one thing: a vehicle that is stuck where it sits and has to be pulled out before it can be carried or driven away. Bogged in mud or sand, a wheel dropped off a driveway edge, hung up on a gutter or a kerb, sunk into soft ground on a wet building site, or a wheel over the edge of an unsealed track.
Being based in Marsden Park puts us close to where this work actually happens. The new estates around Box Hill and Marsden Park still have unsealed access and half-finished driveways. The semi-rural blocks out towards Windsor, Richmond and the Hawkesbury turn to grease after rain, and a paddock that looked firm on the way in often is not on the way out.
What we can do comes down to four things: whether our truck can get close on ground that will hold it, whether there is a safe line for the winch, what sits under and around the vehicle, and what it weighs. Our truck is a 10.4 tonne GVM tilt tray, so tell us what the vehicle is and we will confirm on the call. If the job needs specialist recovery gear, we say so.

Take a photo, then call
A photo from a few metres back shows more than any description. Have one ready, and tell us the address or the nearest gate, what is under the wheels, and how deep it has gone.

We work out whether we can reach it
Where our truck can stand, how far the winch has to pull, what the ground will hold and what the vehicle weighs. If the answer is no, you hear it on the call, not after we have driven out to you.

Winched out, then your choice
Once it is back on firm ground you either drive it away or we load it on the tray and take it to a mechanic, a workshop or home.

My car is bogged. Can you pull it out?
Often, yes. It comes down to whether our truck can get within winching distance on ground that will take its weight, whether there is a safe line to pull along, and what the vehicle weighs. Tell us where it is and what is underneath it, and you will get a straight answer on the call rather than a maybe.
What do you need to know before you drive out?
The address or the nearest gate, what is under the wheels, how deep it has gone, how far it sits from a surface our truck can stand on, and the make, model and weight. On private land or a work site we also need the say-so of whoever controls the property before we start.
What if the job is beyond one truck?
Then we tell you. A vehicle buried to the axles, a job that needs several recovery vehicles or specialist gear, or anything heavier than our tray can carry is not work we will pretend to take. We would rather say no on the phone than turn up and fail.
